Temple of Hephaestus

Second morning in Athens saw us start at the Ancient Agora. Used the same free audio guide and spent quite a while there. It was so quiet, green and beautiful in the centre of Athens. From there we visited Hadrian's library and the Tower of the Winds. Carys was completely in her element. 

We stopped for an early lunch before heading up Lybetticus Hill for a huge view of the sprawl of Athens all the way to the sea. We used the funicular, which was totally underwhelming and a waste of money. We walked down!

Being gluttons for punishment when then walked to the other end of the end of central Athens to see the ancient cemetery, complete with cats and tortoises. So many tortoises!
