New Terrace Covering

Pol finished the work last night after dark and it was only this morning that we got to inspect the new bamboo, instead of plastic mesh, covering.

It certainly makes the space seem bigger as the ‘rods’ reach out further from the structure. We are hoping for a nice zebra stripe effect, like a Spanish beach chiringito, when the sun shines directly onto it and also better ventilation that may reduce the build up of mossy green marks on the tiles during the winter - we get none on the front terrace which is completely open. Finally, we hope it will not need replaced for many years, having no plastic in the covering itself, nor in the securing ties.
