View from a Bench #8

Tony was out for the middle part of the day, setting up orienteering courses for one of our Club members who teaches in a local school and has a thriving orienteering club amongst his students.  Meanwhile, I have pottered at various jobs, done a bit of twiddlemuffing and Hobblworldling then, when the sun finally emerged, I headed out with my camera to capture some more views from benches around the village.  I have decided to upload 'all the spares' to my Flickr account.

I'm going with this blip from the church bench because it meant I could include the Remembrance Day poppies as it is drawing near and they make a lovely centrepiece to the village.  The large house in the blip was once the Old Police House.  We must have been an unruly lot in the village at one time.  The telephone box has been repurposed as a bookswap and information resource.  The autumn trees of the St Ives Estate are behind and you can just see some of the newest houses in the village.

Pilates tonight.  It's chilly and I would like to curl up on the settee in front of the woodburner, but I know I'll be glad I've been when I get there.
