Taking Pierre Swimming

We collected Euan from School today as we had to take him to his swimming lesson.  He emerged joyfully with a school bag, announcing he was taking care of Pierre for a few days.  Inside the bag was this bedraggled teddy bear sporting a stripy shirt emblazoned with 'Bonjour' and a jaunty beret on his head.  One of Euan's teachers is French and today was Fun French Friday.  Pierre goes home each week with the child who has done well in French and Euan has been aching to have him for some time.  On the way to the bus stop, Euan went through his French colours and corrected my pronunciation.  

We met Mum at swimming and enjoyed seeing how much progress Euan has made since we last took him.  He can now swim without floats on his back and front.  He had a new teacher today who encouraged him to go underwater without holding his nose.  

Tony and I will be heading home in the morning and we will next see the family at Christmas.  I look forward to seeing what Euan and Pierre will get up to over the next week.
