Misty Minter Gardens
Today is the third and last day of our wedding anniversary mini vacation. What fun this "get away" has been. In our Harrison Hot Springs three day package was a tour of Minter Gardens, with lunch, which we would do on Friday afternoon after leaving Harrison and on our way home.
I was quite excited about this tour as it has probably been a good 20 years since we were last there. It was beautiful then and even more beautiful now. This was a perfect place to satisfy my Blipfoto project, too. There would be no end to arty and scenic shots here.
I decided to take all the pictures I wanted to for Minter Garden memories. Then when I got home I would choose the one best or most delightful shot for the Blipfoto". Here it is. Meet Misty of Minter Gardens.
Yes, we had lots of overcast and slightly rainy skies but I think it made things even more beautiful. The flowers dripped with raindrops and the leaves collected raindrops. This was National Garden Day. Some visitors were not real happy that it had rained and I was sorry for them. But if we did not have all this rain we would not have such beautiful green and floriferous gardens.
Each path had a theme and each theme had surprises. Of course I took pictures in all the gardens and on all the paths. The most delightful surprise was the topiary of garden girls, with long dresses and big brimmed hats. Little did I know, until I got home and looked at all my pictures, that one of these pictures would be my favorite. Don't you think Misty is a good name for her?
