Entering T5

Everything worked smoothly until we arrived at T5. Left hotel at 9.30 and are sitting by the plane waiting for additional security check at the gate at 12.30.

In between a system failure led to monumental lines and interminable requests to scan passports and boarding cards all due to an earlier system failure. Staff gave contradictory and conflicting information.

The security check required scanning possessions and me, delaying our boarding and no doubt locker space.

I’m all for security but today was a very poor experience. Finally, aboard and of course, amongst the last to board and little locker space available. A glass of Prosecco has just been delivered. And relax.
