8:08 and on way to dentist
It’s a long round trip. The autumn colours this year are a bit drab. It’s been so warm some trees don’t seem to have got the senescence message. As in: Get ready for winter. Perhaps I should rig up a loudspeaker on the car roof. I reckon a sharp frost will do a better job than me haranguing trees. The false acacia and predominant downy oaks are particularly in need of bucking up. Although, to be fair, the downys hold their dead leaves until March.
I’m seeing news that a three day ceasefire for hostages and humanitarian aid deal is possibly close. Of course, it won’t be enough but it would be something. What an agonising month it has been and that is just watching from afar.
