At the beach today

I heard that the snow buntings had arrived at Rainbow Haven Beach this week, so I went for a walk there after we finished raking leaves. Luck was on my side and I found one quite easily. He sat on this rock for several minutes.
There has been an upland sandpiper hanging out in an area of Halifax this week. I drove over there this afternoon, but no luck seeing it. People had been seeing it near the street, but it must have moved on to another area.
