It was the day for small protests, someone writing on the blackboard beneath the George Michael mural on the way to yoga, and later what turned out to be a sex workers’ rally and march in Newtown.

The southern highlanders and another couple of friends are coming for dinner. Is it worth going out again for a missing ingredient? Probably not.
