Blue skies and sunshine to start the day.

I nipped over to Denbigh Infirmary this morning for some precautionary tests for men of my age. It's a small hospital with free parking and friendly staff. I arrived at 10:25 for a chest x-ray, then down the corridor to have blood samples taken and out of the door by 10:45. 

A trip over to Rhyl this afternoon, a coffee in the 1891 theatre bar to shelter from the wind and rain and then a wander through town in the late afternoon sunshine. Had a chat with a metal detectorist who was combing the beach. He said that current excavations in connection with the new sea defences was stirring up a lot of Victoriana and he was regularly finding silver sixpences and items of jewellery.

At 15:54, I spotted the Holyhead to Euston train pulling into Rhyl Station. It was three minutes late and, if on time is due to reach its destination at 18:34.
