River of Flowers

Friday: Mahonia Flowers

Very heavy rain during the night and early hours of this morning, weather improved by the time we’d finished breakfast.

Collected leaves from the narrow path and added them to the mound which shelters the hedgehogs.

Started pruning the black leaved Elderflower which also has a rose growing through it - it’s been neglected for the past few years and it will benefit from cutting back :-)

A few days ago I discovered a pot full of evening primrose seedlings - they look very strong and I’ve potted them on into fresh compost, I’ve also planted a clump into the garden under the twisted hazel - which I can see from the living room window :-))

I took a photo of the Mahonia last Saturday, but the sun was on the flower sprays this morning and they look so beautiful and will only get better over the next few weeks :-))

One little hedgehog was waiting for food at 3:15 this afternoon, biscuits on the saucer and left it crunching … the others showed up at dusk.

Enjoy your Friday night and your weekend :-))

Love and hugs to all my family XXXX XXX XX

Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
