Sixteen Chilies

An afternoon visit to RHS Bridgewater. We enjoy coming here as it’s very easy for those with mobility issues to access and get around. And it’s beautifully designed and planted. Even at this time of the year there is much to enjoy, especially on a cold sunny day like today.

The Garden is gearing up for the Glow festival, which begins next Wednesday and is all part of the RHS’s effort to appeal to visitors over the Christmas period. The woodland areas are currently inaccessible as an outbreak of a pathogenic fungal plant disease, phytophthera ramorum, is having to be managed. Running a Garden such as this must mean having to continuously problem solve and innovate, so it’s an evolution as well as a planned thing.
