At High Riggs

Ruth, Eben and Luca stayed over on Friday night - as Josh is away for a long weekend, this was one way to help out a little.
We were all up quite early, and there were a few jobs to do at the farm.  A goat with a possible infection to check on, a hen with a prolapse to see to (who knew that hens could get prolapses...)  Then Ruth, the boys and I went for a swim at the big leisure centre in town, one of the boys' favourite places.  The main shows Ruth with a visiting cat at High Riggs; the boys are in the extras, and on their faces you can see the scattered evidence of mid-morning snacks :-)
Meanwhile, the enormous march in London, for a ceasefire and for an end to the destruction in Gaza, has so far been peaceful.  The effects of our 'home secretary' and her reckless, destructive rhetoric have only been seen in the violence caused by far-right demonstrators, near the Cenotaph.  Those far-right demonstrators are simply Suella Braverman's tool, in my view, as she gears up for a leadership bid in the Conservative party and plays to an extremist gallery.
As I write, it's too early to heave a sigh of relief about the march, but fingers crossed. And in Gaza itself, bombs continue to fall on hospitals; without any power supply now, fragile babies have been taken out of intensive care incubators and news reports already state that one has died.
Madness.
