Between fen and mountains

Light through the trees

The autumn colours have not been great this year but when the sun shines through the trees they are still pretty. We had a visiting vicar to take the Remembrance day service. He and his wife are both ringers so we were able to ring all ten bells. To thank him for his two hour journey we took him out to lunch to a new restaurant. The food was ok for the most part but my choices were the least exciting. My starter was only a cracker with some prettily sliced cucumber and carrot arranged on it. The main course was better but the lamb had a lot of bone and was tough. The dessert was tasty -  a sort of bread and butter style slice of brioche with cream and ice cream.
