Something of a foodie day today. We went to a nearby village farm kitchen this morning, to swap my autumn greetings card selection for some winter ones. We reinvested my takings on a toasted teacake for me and a breakfast sandwich for Mr W.
Lunch was homemade soup. Then this afternoon I had a baking session. I made an apple & cinnamon loaf cake, which I’m taking when we visit my sister tomorrow (it’s her favourite). I also made a cherry & almond loaf cake, which will go in the freezer ready to take when we go away at the end of the month. I always make 2 cakes at the same time.
