Inner glow
A busy day today doing errands which included being stopped by the local police. I was apparently going too fast. The officer was very nice and asked me if I was in a hurry. I didn't think I was going fast at all so I was confused and said told him I really wasn't in a hurry. He saw my address on my license and knew I was just around the corner from my house. He said I was going 40 mph in a 30 mph zone. I don't know what made me say this but I blurted out; "I'd like to blame the car." He smiled and told me to slow down and let me go. Thank goodness!
By the time I got back home (driving very slowly now!) there was not much time for seeking out a good outdoor shot so I decided to be a little creative. I have this candle holder that I got in Morocco and it is made of wax with a beautiful metal cut design in the front of it. I lit a small tea lite candle inside it and turned the lights off. Looking at the flame of the candle made me think of camping and sitting outside around a fire. The darkness all around you but the warm glow of the fire makes you feel so good.
I played around with different settings on the camera trying to get the best glow of the lit candle and it's shadows inside the wax holder. It was the first time I lit it since bringing it home and I have to say I was rather mesmerized with it. I got so many interesting photos but I liked this one best.
