Bluebell Railway

After Brighton yesterday we stayed over with the Mother-in-law in Seaford and then headed back via the Bluebell Railway for some trainspotting action. A pleasant way to spend a few hours, slowly rattling through the idyllic Sussex countryside, packed lunch from the station buffet, the smell of soot invading the carriage.

New 35mm F1.8 DX lens arrived yesterday and passed the two days with flying colours - decided to try it, mainly for low light capabilities, but even just as a general walkabout lens it was fun to use and is pin sharp. Makes you move around more and think about framing instead of going for the lazy zoom option. It's going to be welded to the camera I think...
