Uggioso
A last minute one as a heavy, drizzly, overcast day - uggioso in Italian- gives way to a cold, still, damp, foggy night. J has a terrible cold and I’m still getting over mine.
Still. We have a house that is still standing, are not under deadly constant bombardment by massive bombs, we have water, electricity, working toilets, food, and we are not being held hostage, nor displaced in Gaza or Lebanon or Israel and not worried about rocket attack, mortar fire or settlers wanting to drive us from our home, nor are we mourning our dead and not living through the trauma of old wounds opened and huge uncertainty about the future.
