Pigpen

The point of this entry is the uplift in mood I’ve had for making a Grateful Dead lyric my mantra. Every time I woke up last night, it was there.
One way or another
This darkness got to give
Today I feel quite different and I can only suppose that this chorus has percolated through my cranium. I am due to be meeting my daughter in Edinburgh on Friday, and was on the verge of calling it off. But today I have new hope.
The guy in the picture is Ron ‘Pigpen’ McKernan, talented and easily the best looking guy in the Grateful Dead who played harmonica on that song. He died in 1973 at the age of 27. How fragile we are.
