A survivor

We had our coldest night yet. It got down to 12 F last night. It was clear and cold. Once the sun came up it did turn into a very pretty day reaching up close to 40.

I've been astounded at this small variety of Goldenrod. It is growing right next to the road and is still going strong. I can't see any other goldenrod anywhere that still has blooms on it. I thought I should give it a blip space to honor it :-)
