The Pacific Ocean at Carlsbad

Madison went home to her mum’s last night and Landon went to school this morning and is now with his mum for a few days.

The day was ours. We went to Carlsbad for a coffee and walk along Carlsbad State Beach stopping for a salad lunch part the way around.

The afternoon concluded with a short stroll around the Buena Vista nature reserve. A wetland nature area which is one of many such lagoons along the coast around here.

Latterly, there’s been a real effort to save these lagoon areas for wildlife as so many had been lost and encroached upon by urban development.
