Flood Plain

Before getting petrol for a trip away I took a quick sprint around Hawley Meadow which was still glowing with Autumn colours (we waited a long time for them this year, but worth the wait!).

The meadow forms part of the flood plain for the River Blackwater, and today it was truly soggy, with large puddles on parts of the riverside path - fortunately the welly boots kept my feet nice and dry!
