Cooler today

After reaching 28degC yesterday we only managed 18degC today, and the temperature has dropped even more as a cold southerly blows through.  Quite a shock to the system!


We had another company come to quote for new blinds today.  It’s quite a process and takes a long time, but we’re learning more each time.  The quote from yesterday’s company was somewhat better than the quote from last week, but still reasonably hefty.  We’ll see what today’s quote is like.

I cleaned some windows inside and out today.  It was quite frustrating as they were very dirty on the outside and it took ages to get them clean.  Then when I looked later parts of the outside were still streaked, so I’ll have another go tomorrow.

We paid a visit to Mitre10 to buy a new hose reel and hose, some compost and a couple of other items MrMacD needed.  Then we called in at the window company with some beer for the two lads who installed the windows, which resulted in an appointment tomorrow to look at the French door and sidelights we’re going to replace. 

A lot of school children play sports on the park across the road on a Tuesday afternoon, which is really nice to see.  When I realised I didn’t have a photo for today I took one of the activity on the park.
