Small Is Beautiful
Another wild, rainy and windy day. The best of it was in the early morning when I took a brisk walk.
I have a few cultivated strawberry plants in my garden, the fruits still a very pale green (visible in soft focus) and also a few Woodland Strawberries Fragaria vesca probably planted by birds. These fruits are tiny; smaller than a pea - though they are intensely sweet and flavoursome. As you see, they are ripe now, weeks ahead of my pale cultivated varieties.
At last the final of the ATP Queen's Club tennis is about to start (more rain delays earlier). Hooray!
