More cheese Gromit!
We’ve been into Skipton this morning. As expected the Aire valley flood plain is living up to its name. Some extensive expanses of water but few places to stop on the busy bypass and road into the town. A couple of shots in the extra collage.
We went to Tesco where two years ago we had our Covid booster. On that occasion I found some gluten free Christmas tree biscuits that went down well so we’ve been back to get some more for a pre Christmas visit by the family in early December. Got a few other pre Christmas items too whilst there.
We then walked into town to get a coffee. A little place called The Three Sheep appropriately between Sheep Street and the High St. It was too early for lunch so we had warm cheese scones. They were huge so no lunch will be required.
There were a few market stalls today including this wonderful cheese stall.
We bought a couple of truckles of Wensleydale. Chris prefers it plain but I like it with ginger which isn’t usually available in the supermarkets. The gentleman in front bought a very interesting selection of cheeses plus some loose packed butter. His bill was much less than I would have expected.
Shame we don’t live close enough to visit more regularly.
A pleasant morning out even though it was a bit damp, better than being wet!
