Holly

A trip to Attingham Park to meet my cousin as it's more or less halfway between Chester and Stourbridge. It's never going to be my favourite NT property, but we had a nice couple of hours enjoying the autumn colours. The house was closed. This wasn't the best time to enjoy the walled garden, but these pots caught my eye. The holly on top of the pots is intended to deter squirrels from digging up the bulbs. The gardeners there were sceptical. I am too. I think they'll just lift the branches out of the way.
