Bus Challenge No 197

All Saints Church, Corston

Before visiting Dad this afternoon, wanted to get a bit of fresh air, gentle exercise and “see something new”, so took the bus to Corston where I went for a wander around the village, stopping at the village shop to pick up some Lardy Cake for Dad, a Bus Challenge tradition.

A very long wait for a short bus ride back to see Dad. Difficult visit. Walk to get some fresh air and to visit the café went well, but once back in his room he became very despondent and repeatedly asked to come home, felt so guilty.

Third bus home where I found a letter from the hospital consultant discussing the need to carefully consider potential major surgery as it poses “overall a risk to your life”. Sleepless night ahead...
