Still no red squirrels
Great improvement in the weather so we headed out to our favourite spot for a walk along the river Garry. The autumn colours were a bit passed their best but still okay.
Whilst I was busy photographing fungi Mr PC spotted a Kingfisher flying by.
The river was pretty high and there was evidence of it breaking the banks, nevertheless the boys had a lovely mooch about and a paddle.
Back home at the cottage I had a lovely hour taking photos of the garden birds, still no red squirrels.
Before it got dark we set up the feeding station on the window sill with jam sandwiches and waited in the hope we would see a pine martin,
Well we didn’t have to wait long the Pir light went on and there it was, I grabbed my phone and took a video of him/ her licking the jam from the bread, it stayed for a good five minutes before leaving with a crust in its mouth.
I’ve added some shots from our day on the river.
