Watermelon pram
...no, I do not know either! I do remember that when I was very young, my mother made me a birthday cake with a baby-in-a-pram theme. Part of the pram was made of crispbread (this was the 1960s) and there was blue icing. The leftover icing was dyed green and used to make a lake that surrounded the next cake, for my sister, on a Hansel and Gretel theme. Hansel, Gretel and the witch were represented by jelly babies.
This, however, was a fruit pram. Our practice manager is maternity-leaving, heavily pregnant, in two weeks' time, and we had a surprise-party lunch for her. The spread was amazing! We held it in the Health Ed room and, for once, the manager was rendered speechless.
I have felt yucky (head cold ) all day but was determined to come in for a meeting. I wore a mask, and was ordered to do a CoVid test. It was negative, as it was yesterday. Then I stayed for the lunch, and thought I'd better stay all day, so as I wouldn't just be thought of as a good-time girl.
Since coming home I've been resting and rembering what it feels like to be ill.
