BACKBLIPPED

Not a lot to say today.  Garron went back to Edinburgh for about 3 weeks to sort a few things out for himself. He will then be back before Christmas, train strikes and dentistry visits permitting.

His train was actually on-time, which is great.  It was rather wet waiting up on Oxenholme.  He caught an earlier train than he usually does.  We arrived up there at 3.30 so had about 40 minutes wait.  I'm always super early for everything as I hate being late and I always allow plenty of time for traffic and hold ups.  

No problem we thought, we would sit in the cafe with a coffee and have a chat.  NO CHANCE, the cafe was just closing up, at 3.30 in the afternoon.  These days it doesn't seem to matter what time you are up at Oxenholme the cafe is always shut or shutting - just a sad sign of the times.  Aah well we just sat in the waiting room.

The traffic back was very heavy through Kendal, of course I suddenly realised it was going home time, but there seemed to be an awful lot more traffic going into Kendal than coming out!!  That is the downside of getting that earlier train I suppose.
