Waiting...

...for the garbage strike to be over...

Yard waste bags line most of our street curbs now...with our hopes that they will be picked up before the rain or the snow arrives! Whenever the weather co-operates, the day's chores now include raking up at least one bag! And today was one of those days...the line of bags in front of my house is growing longer and longer..

And yes, my garden is as unappealing as it looks in the photo..It is a sad thing when the only colour in it is the red of a yard waste bag liner! The only other colour, unwelcome though, is the green of the evil gout weed that just won't die! Like the US postal service, its motto seems to be "Neither rain nor snow nor heat nor gloom of night" etc...

PS:Today's teacup? Old Britain Castles by Johnson Brothers, England. Not family related, but discovered and brought to my attention by my daughter who picked up on a fellow juror's comment that he had in his basement, a box of old china he had inherited and didn't know what to do with it....:))) ... It now lives in my house...
