Confusion

Joanne and I admired this wonderful piece of work when we saw it at Alexandra Palace last month and today I enjoyed seeing it again in Harrogate. A winner at the Quilt Festival in August, it is by quilt artist Janneke de Vries-Bodzinga from the Netherlands. It is a remarkable piece of work - all hand pieced and has some of the most intricate machine quilting. If you look closely you can see this. (There is more of her work here if you are interested - https://www.jannekequiltstudio.com/)

She called the piece Confusion:
“After hearing and seeing global events, confusion, fear and desperation set in.”
I think we can all identify with that.

I was at the Knitting and Stitching Show in Harrogate; Gordon went off walking in Pateley Bridge on a lovely Autumn day. We called in for fish and chips at Barnard Castle on the way home.
