Castle Menzies

Weather still pretty dire, although it wasn’t raining everything was shrouded in mist. Not to be deterred, we got in the car and had a drive out to Aberfeldy, stopping at Tummel bridge, the water was in full spate and evidence of it breaking it’s banks. We carried on our way and did a detour to visited Castle Menzies the ancestral home for over 500 years of the Menzies Clan.

We arrive in Aberfeldy and after filling up with fuel we have a walk along the river bank again the water is flowing very fast and a lot of debris had collected around the bridge.

We return home and have a lazy afternoon in front of the fire, bliss.
