My Friend Kim

What a warrior my friend Kim is! She had a bilateral radical mastectomy on November 3rd and is doing incredibly well. She really wanted to go out to a new restaurant near where she lives, so I picked her up and we had a lovely lunch. She's been through the wringer, obviously, but her spirit and sense of humor prevail. We've been friends for quite some time now and share a New England background (she's from Maine and me Massachusetts), and we're both adopted. I'm so happy for her!
