Soggy and beautiful Monsal Trail parkrun

Monsal Trail parkrun is an out-and-back course along the disused railway track from Hassop towards Bakewell in Derbyshire. During the run there were beautiful views of Bakewel along with fab smells of home cooking. We passed under 2 railway bridges, ran along the flagstone sidings and passed Bakewell Station. Most of the runners were tourists including a large group from Totley Running club who were very friendly.

There was quite a lot of congestion for the first section which prevented overtaking.  However,  I found it good fun sticking to a steady pace until later when there was a chance to speed up for the return section.

We had a bonus bakewell slice in the cafe afterwards.
