Abernethy Hill Race

Been a big week in the village with the Fete. It used to be a very big event but the number of folk willing to give up their time to set it up have declined meaning all the responsibility falls on a few. I've so far avoided going on the committee but think it is inevitable once R pops and we have kids using it. Went and played my part in setting things up yesterday and also spent money. Today was fun with the hill race up CastleLaw. A mere 4km sprint up and back but it is not a small hill. This is the race for 4th place and happy to say I got him in the last 20m. The three in front were all sub 20yrs old and I think it is time to set up a seniors shield for the likes of myself.

My only other comment on this is - does my knee not look really quite ugly in this pic?
