Bird in the Hand

Poor wee fella had got into the pea cage and decided it could get through the holes to escape. Shame I need to cage the peas as it is a huge hassle but the sparrows do just destroy them otherwise. I don't know anyone else who has the plague of pea eating sparrows but every time I've tried them un-netted I lose the lot. I think it is because we have so little water locally that they just use the fleshy tips as a drink.
