A day of surprises

And a day of lots of rain.
We received an email about a hen rehoming session to be held local in the next few weeks. We did not expect anything from these guys until well into next year. Well we have offered home to six ladies, hopefully they will be with us by mid December at the latest. We now have to pray that there is not another outbreak of Avian Flu in our area.
Second surprise came after a discussion with friends about their 3 month holiday in Spain. They suggested we visit them for a weekend, staying in their apartment. So having talked it over we have now booked a weeks holiday in the same complex as they will be but in another apartment. Spain in March sounds good to me.
Third surprise was down to my poor memory, it was PopUp Pub Saturday. Went there for a drink and I think I joined the local table tennis club (its not ping pong, I was told this several times). Next meeting Thursday. Could be an interesting experience, I have not pinged or ponged for about half a century.
