Still Life

We had a 'member's practical evening' at our camera club last week.  One of the activities was to photograph a still life which I was asked to set up.  I had created a similar set-up at home a year or so ago and probably blipped it then.  However, as that was a good while ago I thought I would post this more recent photo.

The extra is an abstract created by floating oil on water in a clear glass dish over some sparkly paper and lit up with a torch.  It's quite tricky to get the oil blobs in focus rather than just the background.

We also had some members helping with Photoshop processing problems and some advice on which papers to use for printing.

It was a useful and convivial evening...there was also some home made cake at tea time...always good!
