Leaf free

This morning I spent a bit of time raking leaves out of the borders and also had to hand clear them out of the ferns, hellebores etc.,  Surprisingly, I came across a hibernating hedgehog which had parked itself in a very inconvenient place.  After consulting our local hedgehog expert, he has confirmed I can move it, so tomorrow I’ll have to go out and buy some straw for new bedding.

This afternoon we’ve been over to our son’s for a birthday lunch.  Both JJ and H’s dad have birthdays this coming week and her mum would have been 85 today.

Our leaves might be down, but the silver birch trees two doors up are sharing their leaves around the gardens.
