Lumiere

It’s Lumiere weekend in Durham. Anna was home for the weekend and brought her lovely friend Izzy. They spent around six hours this afternoon wandering the city, both before and during the light shows and judging by the rundown of the events and photos when they got home they had a thoroughly lovely time.

This is one of the installations in the cathedral. Sensors read the heartbeat of whoever puts their hand under it, and then translates it into the pulsing of the lights and audio.
