Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Enjoying Ben Fogle's 'Sacred Scottish Islands' on a Sunday morning. Later, we all took a walk over the Meadows. We headed for the cafe. The only cafe that Archie always just trots into, willingly, without hesitation. Maybe because he knows it's always quiet jazz music on the soundtrack. And we shared a pastry (not Archie).

Lots of leaves still around, but a dull flat light as we crossed the Meadows, though the sun was trying to come out.

When we got home I watched the cricket final, though it was obvious that Australia would win, so it wasn't terribly exciting. Now carrying on with 'All the Light We Cannot See. I read the book years ago, and enjoyed it, but can remember nothing about the story.
