Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

After Archie's morning walk, and JR's morning routine (two gym sessions, two long walks,, three breakfasts) we decided to go into town. What is luring me into town twice in three days? John Lewis has an offer for card holders - free prosecco and cake. For two! Irresistable.

We went there on Friday, also to meet Becky, but the Prosecco had run out. The next shipment was due that evening, and so we thought that, even if they'd had a busy weekend, there would still be some left today. But no. The shipment did not arrive. Apparently the bottles are made in Ukraine and so the shortage is understandable. I've given up on that freebie...

But we had a good coffee, big scones and a nice view, though the sky looked ominous.

I was going to go and have a look at the Christmas Market, but couldn't summon enough enthusiasm for that, so I took the bus back home to rescue Archie, while JR went into town to get a dress altered.

Archie and I had another walk round the block, though not round the Links. It was kind of drizzling. (7,135 steps) and when JR came home, much later, she took him out again.
