Freedom!!

This afternoon I decided to let the butterflies free. They have not looked very full of life since they hatched and one died on Friday. I was hoping they may of been just building up strength so I've been keeping an eye on them at home over the weekend hoping to let them free with the children at work next week but I decided today they still weren't looking very lively and that it would be best for all if they were let out gently at home where I could keep an eye on them and they'd stand a better chance of surviving. I let them crawl out into a pot full of plants to hide in under my back porch, with a bowl of food hoping nature will give them the strength to fly away so what will be will be now. A bit of a sad ending to our little project, not quite how I imagined our parting :(
