Powering through

After a late night it was up at 8ish - decent night's sleep in the Airbnb - a ground floor flat in Harlesden. Breakfast and cups of tea and catch up. We had plenty to talk about. We headed from the flat on the underground to Chelsea area, and walked along the Thames past new developments, and had coffee and 2nd breakfast at a cab driver's shelter which had been turned into a cafe. Over the river into Battersea Park, and walked through there to the new Battersea Power Station development. It had been done up with Christmas lighting. The development was very impressive in scale and quality. Had a good wander and a look at some of the areas of the station. Over to the Brewery and found a good seat. We then had 3 jugs of session ales and a chat. This was followed by another walk via a few pubs and a meal. Walked down past Westminster Abbey - plenty of police as they were expecting trouble. Through to the Waterloo Tap behind the Royal Festival Hall. Tube back from Waterloo and a few drinks in the pub where we met last night, Back to the Airbnb for a 2nd night, and ordered in some kebabs on Uber Eats. More drinks and chats until the early hours.
