Carved seat

This lovely and practical carving is found nearby above a village called Ainstable. It has a fabulous view over the Lake District Fells, in particular Blencathra. It had not been in place that long when some oiks dislodged it and rolled it onto the road. Since then it has been held in place by wooden stakes (which rather spoils the idea - that and the grit bin) Still it is a lovely view and a welcome rest at that point.
