Lupins …..

….. ….. ….. in the Gorge Rd Matakauri wetlands.

I expect that the powers that be won’t be happy about all the lupins that are blooming at present - they’re basically weeds, that prevent other healthy natives from growing.
They’re pretty to look at though. They’re such tall colourful plants and the blooms are striking.

A friend from Arthurs Point came and walked with us which was just lovely. It’s ages since we walked together as she injured herself on Tobins Track a while ago, falling twice on ice.

It’s been another hot day and it was a relief to get out of the sun this afternoon.
