It’s been a big day in the Village with the opening of the amazing new Lodge. It’s really large, eye catching, beautifully decorated, and yet still has a welcoming feel. They’ve achieved a good balance. Two of the longest resisting residents spoke at the opening; photo in Extras. The Village was built on one of the Director’s airstrip and he was asked to cut the ribbon - what a great choice.

Many years ago my husband & I, two of our boys, and our future son-in-law, camped at Big Bay on the West Coast, south of Milford. We were late finding a campsite and we didn’t realise we’d camped very close to an airstrip near the beach. A plane landed at dawn, flown by the fella who cut that ribbon tonight!
