First harvests
I picked a small dish of broad beans and sugarsnap peas in the rain this afternoon. It is wonderful that the new season’s crops are starting. And these first fruits of my labours will taste amazing tonight.
It was the penultimate exam this morning, and sadly the best of the day had ended by the time I walked to the car and let Bean out for a run.
A big southerly change had arrived, laden with rain and halving the temperature (from 24C to 12C). So the mowing hasn’t been finished Chez Mima. Indeed since getting home I’ve been snoozing on the window seat while listening to BBC R4 dramas. And Bean has snored from her nest on Pink.
What a delightfully lazy afternoon.
