One Giant Leap for Dog-kind
So, there was a cat.
In the garden. Do you need
more reason than that!?
Leo is beside himself when something comes into the garden :-/ He takes the opportunity to show the full range of his 'Leap'.
Anyway, weird day. We slept really badly, the alarm went off for no reason just half an hour after we'd gone to sleep so Mr KCNQ2Haiku and I were literally no help with the situation, we were both so confused! I hate waking up just after I've gone to bed, it feels like I don't even know Who I am, let alone Where I am. Fortunately older teen had not gone to sleep yet and was marginally helpful in keeping us on track! Then Ben woke up needing a wee, then Mr KCNQ2Haiku had a delayed reaction to the alarm and decided to go and investigate. Then Ben's blood sugars dropped to 2.8 and beeped at me continually despite the glucose tablets I was providing. And before I knew it, it was time to get up properly.
I had physio for my neck which was good, took dog for a walk and had a meeting about Safety Planning with the social worker and behaviour specialist. It was kind of useful. Raced to get Ben who has had a better afternoon despite a grotty morning, so I will take that as a win. He was good with me and he's had a play with grandma which is nice.
I had a very British moment in Tesco Express where a man at the counter turned around to ask if I had a club card (I did) and I offered to scan it as I know you can get club card prices, so those without a card miss out on deals. It took a while to get it to scan on my phone and in the meantime I had left my self scan check out and a queue was forming, so on return to my station I tried to scan my club card again, this time for me, knowing that I had some ham that was a pound off with the club card but it wouldn't go through and I was so worried I'd held everyone up by helping the original man that I just carried on without making a fuss.. So silly. Am I the only one who is this daft?! Maybe don't answer that!
